Use a reliable USB drive with enough free space for your LockChime.wav file. A small drive is usually all you need.
Back up anything important first, then format the drive as FAT32 or exFAT. Tesla may not detect drives using an unsupported file system.
Use the exact filename, including capitalization and the .wav extension. Keep the PCM WAV file under 1 MB.
Place LockChime.wav in the drive root, or in a folder named Boombox. Do not bury it inside several folders.
Safely eject the drive from your computer, then connect it to a data-capable USB port in your Tesla.
Open Toybox → Boombox → Lock Sound and choose your file. Availability depends on your vehicle, region, software, and external pedestrian speaker.
